Canadian Legal Aid.
Legal aid programmes are to assist the economically disadvantaged. It gives them access to the courts, the professional services of a lawyer or a notary, and the information they need regarding their rights and obligations.
Eligibility for legal aid is based on several factors. An applicant's family obligations, income, property and liquid assets are taken into account in the processing of applications.
Each province has different rules and criteria. If you think you might qualify you should contact the legal aid organization in your province.
